Essay Writing

Roy has taught for more than 25 years at Year 12 level. He specialises in essay development, according to the Examiner's requirements.

These sessions give emphasis to 'language rich' subjects including the histories, art, economics, geography and drama.

Session A

Overview Session

This overview session provides:

Strategies for choosing the correct questions
Practical tips for success
Structures to ensure your writing reflects all your knowledge to the markers - beginning the essay, progression of ideas/meaning, improving overall structure
Handwriting tips

Note: Students must bring a current essay to discuss.

Session B

Wed, Apr 18, 1:30pm - 4:30pm

Practical session

This more hands-on, practical extension to Session A provides in-depth practice in interpreting questions, essay planning, structure, writing opening and closing paragraphs.

Note: Session is restricted to only 9 students! You must bring an essay to work on. Book early to avoid missing out.
